Sarah Barham
Publisher and CEO

Sarah Barham co-founded ISI Publications in 1991 in Hong Kong and has since overseen the development of offices in the UK, Bermuda and Toronto. Under Sarah’s guidance, during the last 17 years the company has produced over 150 titles, all in the capital markets field, as well as publishing three subscription journals and providing a turn-key production service for several blue-chip clients outsourcing their publications or marketing.

Sarah’s role at ISI Publications is to initiate projects on a conceptual level, and commission the author and sponsor group where necessary.  Sarah has also initiated, launched and developed several significant imprints, including the Capital Guides, the Practitioners Guides (on the regulation of various stock exchanges), and the Starting a Hedge Fund series, which covers Asia, Europe, the US and Canada.

In addition, Sarah initiated and launched ISI Seminars and Publications and has built its global reach and reputation by hosting unique hedge fund events that provide sponsors, managers and service providers with a real return on their marketing spend.

Sarah is also the co-owner and founder of Toronto’s first Hedge Fund Hotel. The Hedge Fund Hotel is tailored to meet the specific needs of new hedge funds, to provide an information hub for the Canadian hedge fund community, and for investors and service providers with a vested interest in the alternative sector in Canada.

Carol Bonnett
Editorial Director and VP Business Development

Carol Bonnett has worked in the publishing industry for 25 years, holding a variety of key management roles for international publishing companies, including HarperCollins. As an assistant production manager at Stoddart Publishing, Carol oversaw the production of the firm’s 30-40 titles per year, including business books and high quality four-colour gift books. As the Director of Subsidiary Rights & Contracts and Editor-at-Large at HarperCollins Publishers, she was responsible not only for all author and publisher contracts, but all film and foreign rights contracts, but also for the production of the four-colour Canadian publishing catalogues, working with copywriters, production and design departments, writing catalogue copy and combining editorial and proofreader’s changes to final page proofs.

Since joining ISI Publications, Carol has been a senior staff member, commissioning writers for ISI titles, editing manuscripts, designing page layout, liaising with printers in North America, the UK and Hong Kong, working with designers and copy editors on a day-to-day basis, calculating project costs, negotiating print contracts and overseeing all aspects of book production. Working with clients and authors, she produces production schedules that take into account the quality of the production and the timing and marketing requirements of the client. She also works on all of the marketing campaigns in conjunction with our marketing and sales staff.

Carol is responsible for ensuring the editorial quality and integrity of all of ISI Publications, and has worked on Alternative IQ, our flagship hedge fund subscription journal, since its inception.
